Super Mario Odyssey gets new Luigi’s Balloon World online mode, new costumes and filters

All for free in February.

Announced during the Nintendo Direct mini, Nintendo has revealed a free update coming to Super Mario Odyssey. Luigi’s Balloon World is a free, new online-focused online game in Odyssey.

It’s basically hide-and-seek with other players online and a speed run to find where others have hidden a balloon. It’s unlocked after you beat the game.

There’s also new filters and costumes coming to the game. All this for free in February.

    I know this is a throwback to balloon fight on the NES but all I can think of is Diddy Kong Racing on N64.

    Who’s banana do I gotta peel for a spiritual successor to that game?!

    I hope Playtonic, or ANYONE, step up & fulfill my dream on an adventure based kart racer.
