Aussie Bargain Roundup: Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield
Advertisement
The release of Pokémon Sword and Shield is fast approaching and your most important decision isn’t picking Grookey, Scorbunny or Sobble but where you’re going to get the game from.
Being a Pokémon game, everyone is here and everyone is fighting for your dollars. You can buy the game on its own, in a dual pack and there’s a new Switch Lite design out (a week before) to maybe consider as well.
Pokemon Sword and Shield will launch on November 15th.

I am struggling to understand who would buy the Steelbook dual pack. I mean, it’s cheaper to buy a copy each game separately??

EB have the dual pack for $159.95
Target have their catalogue out and it’s 79 bucks
Nintendo Shop Vouchers will give u both for $135.
Big W’s price seems to be online exclusive as their current catalogue lists the games at $69 each (the dual pack isn’t in there at all). It’s highly unlikely that their in-store price would be something as odd as $62.10.
I think Amazon and especially JB are jumping the gun a little, but hey, it’s better for the consumer, I suppose.
Big W’s gone up to $69 today
I think we should be calling out games in these bargain guides which you can use the Nintendo online eshop vouchers on.
