Mother 3 arrives on the Japanese eShop this December

There’s always something just a little bit different on the Japanese Nintendo Direct stream, something that gets the green envy monster out of the west.

This Direct it was Mother 3, again. This time it’s heading to the Wii U Virtual Console in Japan this December 17th. With no localisation ever done for the GameBoy Advance game which was released in 2006 it’s unlikely we’ll see this one here in Australia.

We say this and then things like Earthbound Beginnings happens…

Well, like, the difference with Earthbound Beginnings is that a fully-translated prototype already existed. The only English version of Mother 3 is the fan translation, which I don’t think Nintendo would be interested in.
