Shovel Knight: King of Cards, Showdown, and amiibo launch on December 10

Years in the making, and after much waiting, Shovel Knight: King of Cards finally has a firm release date.

After previously announcing a vague “December” launch window, Yacht Club Games has announced today that Shovel Knight: King of Cards will be releasing on the Switch, 3DS, and Wii U on the 10th of December, just a few short weeks from now. December 10 will also see the release of brawler Shovel Knight Showdown for the Switch and Wii U, but not for 3DS, and the long-awaited release of the Shovel Knight Treasure Trove amiibo 3-pack, which features amiibo for Plague Knight, Specter Knight, and King Knight.

Both King of Cards and Showdown will be available both as a free update to Treasure Trove, and as a standalone purchase. Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is also set to receive a physical release ‚ÄĒ again, on December 10 ‚ÄĒ though it’s currently unknown if that date pertains to Australia, too.

Those interested in the Gold Shovel Knight amiibo are out of luck, though ‚ÄĒ no Aussie release has been announced for that yet.
