Nintendo reveals the best-selling Nindies on the Switch

It’s all about the Nindies this week at Nintendo. As if last night’s Nindies Showcase wasn’t enough, Nintendo also hosted a Nindies Panel at this year’s GDC.

Amongst talk of its booming success in the digital market (and the promise of some eShop improvements), Nintendo also dropped a bit of very interesting info — it listed the top ten best-selling indie titles on the Switch. The list isn’t broken down into actual sales numbers, but it does mention that it’s based on global life-to-date sales, so it does give us a pretty good idea of what makes Switch players all around the world tick.

The top ten selling Nindies on Switch in no particular order are as follows:

  • SteamWorld Dig 2
  • Stardew Valley
  • Kamiko
  • Celeste
  • Fast RMX
  • Golf Story
  • Enter the Gungeon
  • Overcooked: Special Edition
  • NBA Playgrounds
  • Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove

Curiously, we expected to see Rocket League on the list but it is totally absent; we’re not sure if this is because it didn’t sell as much as the others or if Nintendo doesn’t consider Psyonix indie enough, but for now, let’s just give a huge kudos to those who did make it.
