Skylanders Swap Force Dark Edition coming to Australia, just not on the Wii U
Overnight Activision announced a ‘collectors edition’ of the upcoming Skylanders Swap Force. Dubbed the Dark Edition, the package will come with the game, the new style portal, 5 exclusive Dark Skylander Figures, some posters, secret codes and trading cards. In Australia we’ll also get the Polar Whirlwind toy with it.
Here in Australia the Dark Edition will be exclusive to EB Games and be coming to the Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. There’s a platform missing there, guess which one.
In the US it is also coming to the Wii U, not so here in Australia where Wii U owners who wanted these exclusive figures will miss out. The standard package of the game is still coming to the Wii U, at this point at least.
We all know Activision’s history of Wii U releases here in Australia, but we imagine some Skylanders fans who bought the game on the Wii U are going to be really upset at this move.
Disappointing.
Utter BS! Not only is Nintendo suffering at the poor sales, but so are Wii U owners. Soon all the Wii U will have are first party games that are constantly delayed.
