Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 coming to Nintendo Switch with apparent added content

It wasn’t just all new games shown during Nintendo’s three minute special trailer for the Nintendo Switch, no there were some very familiar faces.

It appears that both Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 will appear on the Switch with updated and enhanced versions. Mario Kart appears to be visually similar to Mario Kart 8 but there’s some minute differences to look out for in the footage. First off they’re racing on a new track that wasn’t in 8, King Boo is now also a rider and you can hold two items – just like Mario Kart: Double Dash. Could we be seeing a Mario Kart ‘switch’?

Splatoon was less hard to tell as there wasn’t too much footage shown, there was however what appeared to be a new race of squid. This was later confirmed by the Japanese Splatoon Twitter account.

What do you think of these updated Wii U titles making the leap to the Switch?

how will you super jump in splatoon if the console is docked? maybe moving a cursor over the map on the tv but that seems like a backwards step

The Mario Kart 8 track isn’t new. It’s Yoshi Circuit. You can tell because the course track is in the shape of Yoshi, unique to Yoshi circuit.

First off they’re racing a new track that wasn’t in 8.Are you kidding?Did you play this game?
It’s Yoshi’s track,it IS in Mariokart 8.You can even see the map representing Yoshi between the split screen. And it was already in MarioKart 64.
Nothing new and Graphisms are identicals.
