Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 announced
Segas revealed Project Needlemouse and its heading to all the digital download platforms including WiiWare
Sega has finally pulled the wraps off of Project Needlemouse and it’s none other than Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and it’s heading to WiiWare (which we did doubt) as well as Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and the iPhone. The game official titled ’ Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1’ is as you guessed it coming as episodes. Sega says it’s "first part in a much larger adventure".
The game goes back to classic Sonic roots with a tradional looking Sonic 2D Platformer, with no ’friends’ in sight. A gameplay trailer showing off a small portain of the game has been revealed too. Some story details have also been released on the official site;
Our Legendary hero returns! With the Death Egg finally destroyed, and Angel Island back in the sky, Sonic decides it’s time to take a break and heads off to explore a new territory on his own. However unbeknownst to Sonic, Eggman has also survived their last encounter, and has begun taking measures to rid himself of our hero. Armed with his signature Speed, super Spin Dash – and powerful Homing Attack, Sonic is ready for an all-new adventure!
Sega says the game is coming this ’summer’, which is Winter down under.
