That Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Nintendo Switch bundle is exclusive to Russia

Before yesterday’s Nintendo Direct a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Switch Bundle was put up on Nintendo’s Russian web store fuelling speculation of a bundle for everyone.
Sadly it is not the case, Nintendo has confirmed to GameSpot that the bundle is just for Russia and there’s no plans for it to come to anywhere else in the world.
Nintendo loved bundling Mario Kart 8 with the Wii U, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it bundled eventually. It’s just not this one.

Maybe sales in Russia have been on the slower side and a bundle has been deemed necessary? I do feel it’s a bit early to see bundles in the wild only 2 months after launch.
I’d expect Splatoon 2 or Arms to have a bundle to start momentum again.
With no region locking, I wonder how much this would be to import hehe
