The Nintendo 3DS black error screen, what does it mean?

Nintendo knows, but really were no more clear on it too

Over the past few days since the Nintendo 3DS launched in America and Europe, more and more people have been coming across whats being dubbed as the black screen of death. A screen that pops up on the Nintendo 3DS randomly that is black and contains a warning saying an error has occurred and the system should be shut down. It happens randomly and without warning and its annoying people who its happened too.

Nintendo has spoken out on the issue saying that if you happen to get the error, then update your system and then see if it happens. If it does, then you should contact your local Nintendo branch for help.

Here at the Vooks HQ, were yet to get this error on either our Australian or Japanese console and the latter weve had for over a month now and no sign of the error.
