Treasure tease new 3D shoot-em-up game
The makers of Sin and Punishment and Ikaruga tease a new shmup game. Its going to be 3D, but is it for the 3DS?
Treasure have teased the as-yet untitled shooter on their Japanese website. Little about the new game has been described, apart from the fact that it will be in 3D. Its uncertain that whether by 3D they mean that they are making the distinction between traditional top-down 2D shooters like Ikaruga or a polygonal 3D shmup like the Sin and Punishment games, or the pop-out-of-th-screen- type 3D. All we know is that it’s made by Treasure, and considering the high standard of work they deliver on their shoot-em-up games we can say that this is something exciting to look forward to.
If it is the pop-out type of 3D, then the logical home for the upcoming game would be the 3DS. The handheld is expected to launch in Japan before anywhere else and is likely to be incredibly popular as soon as it is released.
