Confirmed: Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut coming to Wii U

Global retailer Amazon has tonight let slip the existence of the long rumoured Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut.

We believe this Director’s Cut is the Square Enix published title that Australian developer Straight Right has been working on, but we have yet to confirm. The title was likely to be the game planned to be revealed at PAX East this weekend in America.

The only information that the listing provides is the typical marketing bullet points, but it does reveal that the game will use the GamePad as a “Neural Hub” to manage and install protagonist Adam Jensen’s inventory and augmentations, respectively. The information also claims that “a multitude of improvements, features and additional content” will be included, though it’s unclear if this is in reference to GamePad support or something more.

We will, of course, have more on the game as it’s revealed officially. For now, bask in the radiance of the box art attached to the listing.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut is dated for May 7th in the United States, according to the listing, and will be a full price title. When we can confirm local launch details, we will be sure to post an update.

So, with the game being out for so long, are you planning on picking this one up? What would you like to see added to the Director’s Cut? Let us know in the comments.

    Well, I got the standard edition on PS+, and I’m happy enough with that, but I’m super happy that the Wii U is actually getting support from Squenix.

    I’m happy too, but I have to ask why a game from two years ago is getting this treatment.

    Still, happy to see it’s coming as it’s a fantastic game. I absolutely adored it and it deserves to be played by as many people as possible.

    Let’s just pray Square Enix don’t decide to hold back it’s release for Australia ;_;

    While the game itself (minus the bosses) is amazing – one has to wonder what the point of this is…

    The game has been out for an eternity. You can pick it up on PS3/360 for like $20.

    No doubt this will retail for $100 and sit on the shelves, Squeenix will bitch and moan and be the next developer to pull support.

    Absolutely baffling.

    Under the rating it says “Online Interactions not rated by the ESRB” but I don’t remember there being any online features in the game – maybe that’s something they’re adding. The release on Wii U must be leading up to the sequel or the film that’s been announced

      We have a box-art, we have a publisher fact sheet. And it’s been posted on Amazon. They don’t make this kind of stuff up – they post it because they’ve received it.

      Not to mention the many titles that Amazon has accidentally leaked in the past.
