Bargain Roundup: Second wave amiibo figures strike back

You thought your wallet was safe, Pokemon, Smash, GameCube adapters and the first wave of amiibo hit. It was all finished, no more purchasing for the year?

You thought wrong! The second wave of amiibo figures are here and if you’re keen on any of them well then the wallet pain isn’t going to stop now is it?

Luckily for you both Target and Big W seem to be keep their amiibo prices the same this time around too, $14 and and $15 again. Hopefully this new wave has some good stocking levels or even ‘old’ favourites get a stock replenish.

Here’s the catalogues thanks to Aaron and Henrich.

Between this and all the other Nintendo goodies plus ebgames mad monday to add more games for my collection I have a feeling my wallet isn’t my mate atm

On a side note, if anyone knows where I can get a cpl of marth amiibos I’d appreciate it, I’ve exhausted most avenues in perth

God damn I want Captain Falcon but that stupidly ugly rod on his leg is unacceptable.

i see target still have the mario kart bundle with the physical game inside, not the download.. do you reckon they really do have a bunch of the physical game pack in stock, or did they just not think to update the art in the catalogue?

Apparently these don’t exist in Hobart. EB had two Diddy’s behind the counter and no other amiibos at all. Target didn’t even have any shelf space for them, and Big W only had Pikachu and Mario, with an empty space for Yoshi :/ And they are nowhere online apart from overpriced imports. Grargh I want my Captain Falcypants!

    *Pre-orders Megaman just in case*

Nintendo seriously need to get their stock levels up with the Amiibos. The second wave ones are almost impossible to find and the eBay re-sellers are having a field day: check out the prices Little Mac are at!

I don’t think this low stock levels is good for anyone. Seriously underestimated demand; another missed opportunity or a sly marketing ploy and they will release more stock in the future?

I had a chat to a bloke in Target who said they get sent “boxes” of things like Pikachu, but one sole Wii Fit Trainer.
