Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition rated for release in Australia

In an odd move, Nintendo has submitted Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition for classification in Australia. While Nintendo submitting a game itself isn’t an odd thing, the title they’ve decided to list has. Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition (as its know in Japan) recently got dated and named for release in North America with the title Pokemon Conquest. So it’s not too odd that Nintendo would pick this title for release here considering no one outside of Japan knows what Nobunaga’s Ambition is about (or at least, not as many as you would think).

This classification, of course, does not guarantee a release in Australia but Nintendo wouldn’t submit something for fun, these things cost a lot of money. The game is set for a June release in America so it might still be a while away if Nintendo do choose to release the game here. It is at least half a Pokemon game, so expect it sometime soon we think.

I really hope we receive this game in Australia too! Even if it is only for DS I would buy it just for the sake of playing a Pokemon game 😀

I seriously hope no one really asks “What’s a Nobunaga”. They’re apparently keeping the original Japanese names of characters even in the international release (or at least, they are in the US, so I don’t know why they’d change those for the Europe/AU release), so exactly who Nobunaga Oda is should be obvious from the blurb on the back of the box.

Of course, who ever reads those any more….
