Nintendo confirms (and delays) various 3DS release dates

The news keeps pouring out of the Analyst Briefing being held at E3 2013. One image in particular is quite interesting, and illustrates that a few games have been pushed into 2014 while others remain solely in 2013.

News that will surprise nobody is that Animal Crossing  is still coming in June to all territories, while the new Mario & Luigi game, Dream Team Bros., will be coming to Europe in July and America in August. Pokemon X & Y remains at an October 12th release date worldwide (and we’re told this includes regions like Korea too).

Release Dates 3DS

This however, is probably where the familiarity ends. Link to the Past’s spiritual successor, A Link Between Worlds, has been dated for November in America however doesn’t have a solid release date in Europe or Australia (though it is still coming in 2013). Mario Party will also be hitting the 3DS in both America and Europe (and hopefully by extension, Australia) in November too.

As announced, Smash Brothers will be coming to the 3DS (and Wii U) in 2014. What’s previously unconfirmed, however, is that Yoshi’s New Island will be coming to the 3DS in 2014. Now delayed is Mario Golf World Tour, previously announced for a release this year, but quietly shuffled to 2014.

While it’s undeniable that both Pokemon and Zelda should serve as hard hitters for 2013, we can’t help but feel that Nintendo is truly gearing up for a stellar 2014, it’s just the wait that we’ll have to endure.
