Nintendo’s big update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has gone live. Version 3.0.0 is now available to download. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is still coming and will go live at midnight on January 15th in each region (it’s now live in New Zealand).
Version 3.0.0 of New Horizons is a massive update for both the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions of the game.

The free update adds a new Resort Hotel run by Kapp’n’s family, located right by your pier. Inside, you can sell outfits featuring your own designs for visitors to pick up. Storage has been expanded to a 9,000-item limit in your house, you can now craft multiple items at once, and terraforming has been improved, allowing you to sidestep while editing.
There’s also now The Legend of Zelda, Splatoon and LEGO themed items as well the ability to a NES game right from in the game (like the old day). Haven’t played in a while? Don’t worry, Resetti is back and can clean up your entire island for a fresh start.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition adds higher-resolution graphics, mouse controls for decorating your house and creating custom designs, and increases online play to 12 players, up from eight previously. You can also use GameChat and CameraPlay, and there’s a new in-game megaphone to help you find residents around your island.
