Pokémon Sun and Moon are now Nintendo’s biggest launch in Europe

First the UK, now the rest of Europe... is that still right?

Last week we reported that Pokemon Sun and Moon became the biggest Nintendo launch in the UK ever.

Now it’s done the same for Europe, both games combined have sold more than any other Nintendo game in the region – ever. There are now 1.5m copies in the wild in Europe, this includes the 368,000 from the UK.

Pokémon fans and newcomers alike have been adventuring in the wonderful world of Alola in record numbers, with first week sales of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon totalling over 1.5 million units. That figure includes more than 368,000 units sold in the UK in the first week.

With Sun and Moon dominating the UK, Japan, Australia and early reports on American sales it just proves that Pokémon still has it. That and Nintendo’s mobile strategy might be paying off?
