As expected Nintendo has confirmed that Cranky Kong is the fourth playable character in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.
The game also now has a release date, at least for North America where it will be out February 21st 2014. Cranky Kong joins Dixie Kong as new playable characters in the game.
Cranky Kong who is known not only for his crankiness but his prowess in combat brings his cane into action. He can bounce around on the cane allowing him to move over spiky pits and destroy enemies not even Donkey Kong can. The first two levels of the game where shown off.
Cranky’s inclusion was revealed at this years VGX awards where hosts Geoff Keighly and that drunk guy who was on that TV show once showed no respect for Reggie and the developer from Retro Studios – despite Cranky’s reveal being just a little less exciting than could have been.
But hey Titanfall got a new robot too, that was cool right?
