To start of with, each level is a gem on its own and should not be brushed aside, the baby Mario level constantly keeps you scribbling with your stylus non stop over your DS. Why? Well you must try to collect as many coins while avoiding being hit by enemies. Now to make an impact on the game in this way you must draw little clouds across the screen to route baby Marios path, while doing this you could also wisely do another thing, draw circles round all the enemies to score points and kill them. This means you could do maybe two things at the same time to get the ultimate score, now it may be risky but if you pull it off, it will pay off with a nice little high score which will not be laughed at.

Now once you have done all this and got to the bottom of the Level, you will automatically get a Yoshi which will take you to the next level. This next level is an interesting one and it is the more used level out of the two. Your Yoshi will move Automatically without you pressing any button whatsoever and all you have to do, is shoot eggs at enemies on the both screens, by simply just tapping on the screen in the enemies direction. Now of course you will also be able to still draw clouds like you did in the first level, you just wont be as dependent on them in this level. All you really need them is to make sure your Yoshi does not fall in a hole which rarely happens.

So what happens after that, well nothing really, that is it, there are 4 modes which try to add variety but that is it, it simply is a high scoring beater game, but still once you have done the challenges, even though they are fun while they last, you cant just feel a bit empty as it is so short.

Now of course this doesnt mean beating the high scores is not fun. The higher score you get on the baby Mario level will enable you to get different Yoshis, which can make the game a little bit different. For example the better yoshi you get, the faster it will go and other little stuff like that. Now OK this is nothing special but hardcore players will no doubt want to get that ultimate yoshi by the time you have completed the game and believe me it will take you time.

Now I mentioned the 4 modes earlier and they are all a credit even if you feel you want more. There is a very simple one called score attack which basically wants you to get the highest score in the 2 levels. There is another easy mode called marathon mode which still makes you play the 2 levels but in the yoshi one you will have to go as far as you can. Then the modes get a little harder, once you have completed the first two, one of them is called time attack which makes you complete the 2 levels as fast as you can. And last but not least is a really hard mode called challenge mode which is a twist of all the other 3 modes put together. Like I said they are all a credit and once you have done them you will rack up the high scores and it will keep you occupied but one thing is sure, you will want more.

So What else there is to the game apart from what I have mentioned, well you will be pleased to know it is a good looking game even if the DS could handle more. The 2D graphics work perfectly on it and even though it is only a little higher standard than A GBA could do, it would not work in 3d not matter how powerful the console.

So to sum the whole game up it is an interesting take on a puzzler which uses some nice touches of a platformer but suffers because of the shortness of the whole game. It is a nice game to beat high scores but sadly it is not outstanding and there is better puzzlers out there, so wait until it drops down in price and then get it as then you will not be disappointed.
