Since being shown off at E3 this year, Nintendo have not given us much more information about Yoshi’s New Island, the 3DS sequel to Yoshi’s island.

Until now.

Along with a new trailer, it was also mentioned that Takahashi Tezuka, the Director of the original Super Nintendo classic will return to oversee the development of the new game.

This is great news for fans knowing that the game is in good hands. Yoshi’s New Island is releasing in Spring 2014 in Europe and hopefully around the same time In Australia, which would be our autumn. Stay tuned for more details.

Video games are not my forte. I'm not very good at video games. If you walked up to me in the streets and exclaimed “Hey! You suck at video games!” I would not call you a liar. They are, however, one of my favourite things and classic Nintendo titles are what I like best. Sure I haven't finished New Super Mario Bros. U yet and I've had the game since launch, but that doesn't mean I don't get the same fuzzy feelings as you when I play it.

Having loved the old Yoshi’s Island games, even more than the normal super mario series, I have to say I was excited about this game, but I don’t like the graphics style. I absolutely loved the graphics from the gba and ds Yoshi’s Island games, but this versions art style is a real let down.
