Yo-kai Watch 3 is coming to 3DS in the West in 2019

Only 3 years late

Remember Yo-kai Watch? That series that everyone forgot about until a spinoff game came out earlier this year? Well, the “next” game in the series is coming to the West.

Nintendo has announced today that Level-5’s Yo-kai Watch 3, a game that came out in 2016 in Japan, will be coming to the 3DS in the West early next year. In the US, it’ll launch on February 3rd, but Europe (and probably Australia too), just have a vague “this Winter” launch window, which is Summer for us south of the equator.  There’s not really much info on the Western release beyond that — we don’t know if it’s going to be two games like it was in Japan, or just the one. We’ll just have to wait and see, really.

It’s certainly an interesting choice, to say the least, given that the next game in the series, Yo-kai Watch 4, is set to release in Japan on the Switch later this year. Before Yo-kai Watch 3 releases on 3DS in the West. Because why not?
