Wiimote Strap Saga, 7th worst gaming blunder of the year
The Wiimote Strap saga has made Next-Gens list of the years biggest gaming screw-ups and it seems that Nintendos first dispensed advice that when hand gets sweaty, simply wipe ’em’ has made Strapgate rank up there along with Jack Thompsons shenanigans, the Gizmondo executives streak of evil and eventual crash and finally ending with nearly every news outlet bagging the PS3 or Sony at some point this year.
More Inside Nintendo has now issued a voluntary recall on wrist straps in the US and UK, and is now shipping Wii consoles with new warnings. So has Nintendo now done enough to solve this problem? Lets hope the incident isnt still making waves next year.
