Wii U Production will continue insists Nintendo

Who to believe?

We reported yesterday on reports that Nintendo were stopping production of the Wii U as soon as this week.

Turns out, Nintendo doesn’t agree and has told Japanese site IT Media that the reports are ‘not true’

There is no change to our continuing [Wii U] production. Even though the Nintendo Switch is slated to go on sale, [Wii U] production is scheduled to continue.

Really we should believe Nintendo, they are the one source of truth – but this rumour has been blowing around for months and the Wii U – well it’s dead – we can’t see it happening.
