Wii being built faster then expected

by Daniel VuckovicOctober 5, 2006

According to Briefing.com, 2 Million Wii Consoles produced in the 3rd quarter of this year (July-September). As well as these 2 million Wii’s, it has been reported that there could be at least 7-9 million more consoles built before launch. This level of production exceeds the previous figures that Nintendo announced suggesting that there would be 6 million Wii’s by years end.

More Inside It’s good to see the Wii so ahead of schedule, which recudes the chance of shortages and gives other countries more supply. With the current shortages of DS Lites being experienced, it relieving to know that Nintendo are attempting to avoid a similar situation with their impending Wii console.
