Wii 4.1 firmware hits for Australia, Europe and America
A new Wii Firmware has been released, and like its Japanese counterpart affects Wii Sports Resort
If youve picked up an early copy of Wii Sports Resort youll have noticed the Wii Motionplus instructional video in each of the games. Next week when Wii Sports Resort launches youll have to watch it again, and again and again unless you update to the latest firmware.
Released in Japan last week the 4.1 fixes Wii Sports Resort so you only have to watch the video once. So it does seem that Wii games can be patched after all. The video playing on every boot-up occurred with our review copy of Wii Sports Resort so the issue was still apparent, until this update of course.
Homebrewers, this update contains nothing more than this simple bug fix but it may be worth holding out for the update incase Nintendo snuck any code to disable Homebrew. I mean how else would you play Excitebots?
