Nintendos put a new Wii Remote through the FCC – what could it be?

Nintendo has submitted a new Wii Remote to the the Federal Communications Commission. The FCC is the standards board in the United States where all products with a wireless technology must be passed through in order to go on sale. This new Wii Remote on the surface and in the included picture in the listing but has a new model number, RVL-036.

So in this era of pre-E3 speculation there are plenty of thoughts as to what this ‘new’ Wii Remote could be. Some thoughts include that the Wii Remote may come with a Wii MotionPlus unit built in; others say it could just be an update of the Bluetooth module inside.
