What’s in the Bravely Default: Deluxe Collector’s Edition?
European version revealed, will we be so lucky?
Update: Nintendo Australia has confirmed we’re getting the exact same bundle as below. In addition if you pre-order this bundle or even the standard game at EB Games you’ll be able to get a smaller artbook before the game is even released. No pricing was made available.
Original Story: Nintendo Europe earlier this morning tweeted the first look at what’s in the Bravely Default: Deluxe Collector’s Edition and it looks pretty swank.
Coming in nice big black box you get a copy of the game, a figurine of Agnès, a Deluxe Artbook, 34 AR cards to use in the game and the games soundtrack on CD. We haven’t seen a collector’s edition for a Nintendo game quite this nice for a while.
This deluxe version is only available in the UK from Shop To and there’s no price yet decided.
So what about Australia? We were promised a special Collector’s Edition of the game, plus an exclusive artbook for people who pre-order. Whether or not that’s this, we’ll ask Nintendo for you.
Bravely Default is out on 7th December here in Australia.
That’s something I would think about buying, if the price was decent
Chances are that this collector’s edition will only be available at EB, who will of course jack up the prices.
OR, they’ll do what they’ve always done, and sell for the game for exactly what Square Enix tells them to sell it for.
What with people thinking that EB ‘jacks up the prices’ on game. They sell games exactly for the RRP because they don’t have other departments to make money from. Other retailers can afford to make little to no money on gaming to get customers through the door and lure them into purchasing items with a high markup.

I’ve yet to find the department where JB Hi-Fi, Target, Big W or K-Mart make their money from, because in every industry the other companies claim to be undercut by their competitors because they make money from every other department. EB rips people off.
PREORDER NEW $149.95 so $90 for the extras, seems a bit pricey to me…

Scorpionsa. All those are big department stores that sell a hell of a lot of things. EB Games sells games and gaming products. Is JB Hi-Fi a specialty store? Is Big W a specialty store? No, they’re not. Is EB Games a specialty store. Yes it is. All it sells is games and gaming products. How about you open up a gaming store, sell the same things at the price you think they should be sold for and see how long you operate
Yeah I thought it was a lot too. I’ve never seen a 3DS or DS game for that price, collector’s edition or otherwise!
So, is there anywhere someone can buy this overpriced edition if EB have sold out??
