    Excellent video, thanks. I’d just like to point out the micro SD card in the new 3DS just has to be big enough to fit everything off the original SD card. I had a 32gb in my old 3DS that was about 1/3 full and put a 16gb in my new 3DS and the transfer worked fine.

    The system transfer didn’t work for me: the data on the SD card doesn’t look like it transferred across to the micro SD card. I’m an ‘ambassador’ and have/had a fair bit of stuff on my previous XL.

    My play coin total for example came across ok, but nothing else.

    Does anyone have some suggestions for me to try to try and fix it? Thanks.

    I’m pretty sure the transfer is a one way deal and there’s no going back or do-overs.
    I suggest you ring Nintendo Customer Support. You might still lose some stuff but they should be able to save/transfer all your eshop details so you can re-download your games.

    @mark. Thanks for your advice.

    I tried copying the contents of my old SD card to my desk top and then onto my new micro SD. Lo and behold that worked: I had to re-download a couple of titles (Zelda 4 swords for example) and turn off and turn on the street pass for the puzzle quest as I was missing all of the new puzzles.

    Not sure what wa showing on and why the contents of the SD card didn’t transfer, but at least I was able to copy the contents across to a new micro SD and recover everything. I didn’t fancy catching every fish and bug in Animal Crossing again…
