Touchstone Television and Ubisoft today announced a game based on the hit TV series, Lost. The game is said to feature some characters from the show, but it may also introduce new characters.

The game will be developed by Ubisoft’s Montreal studio who are famous for developing such high-profile series as Splinter Cell, Far Cry and Prince of Persia. Lost creators creators J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof will act as executive producers of the game which is set to hit “”both home and handheld consoles, as well as PCs”” sometime next year. Game details are sketchy but Pascal Bonnet, director of licensing for Ubisoft, stated he hopes the game will be as engaging and unique as the show.
