Ubisoft set to distribute more Square Enix games down under

Square-Enix has signed a distribution agreement with Ubisoft that will see the put in charge of Distributing two key titles in Australia and New Zealand in the first quarter of 2008. The games are Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates and Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker. Crystal Chronicles is the handheld evolution of the GameCube title of the same name and is heralded as one of the most accessible titles in the series, featuring support for up to four players to co-operate in exploring a unique 3D world while battling enemies and solving puzzles. The new instalment of Dragon Quest Monsters features over 200 monsters for the player to capture, train and battle and includes the option to pit your beasts against those belonging to other players over Nintendo Wifi Connection. After the great success of Dragon Quest since we introduced the series to Europe, I am extremely happy that we are now giving fans a chance to enjoy Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker on the Nintendo DS. This is another stylish entry in the Dragon Quest series that will bring many hours of enjoyment to anybody that plays it.

With Square Enix enjoying a large amount of recent success with Nintendo handhelds it seems unsurprising that the company is entering into some highly profitable distribution deals that will see the company continue to expand its audience in areas outside of Japan.
