Ubisoft announce new casual franchise, My Coach
Ubisoft today revealed a new casual franchise titled My Coach. In the same vein as other self-improvement DS titles like Brain Training, titles in the My Coach franchise aim to improve specific aspects of a person’s life – the first is My Word Coach which will help players with vocabulary and verbal communication.
More Inside A second My Coach title, My Life Coach, is currently in development with help from a behaviourist and is for “”anybody concerned about their well being the willpower they need to change their habits the way they want in a motivating and fun way””.
The division developing the franchise is headed by Rayman producer Pauline Jacquey who said, “”developing projects that make people feel that playing games is worth their while, allowing them to spend quality time with family and friends, learn a new skill, or improve their daily lives.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said, The timing is right for us to leverage our creativity and to open up the video games market to new consumers who will be attracted by content that can help them learn, grow and feel better in an entertaining way.
My Word Coach is currently slated for a “”fall of 2007″” US release while My Life Coach will be available around Christmas.
