Activision has announced that Tony Hawk will be returning this year again to all consoles, including the Wii and Nintendo DS with Tony Hawks Proving Ground. No half baked spin off for Wii owners this time. Activision tells us that this time around you will have the freedom to define your character, story and style based on the choices you make in the game.

More Inside It wouldn’t be a new Tony Hawk game without some new features and the biggest addition thats been announced so far is the included Video Editor in the game. The video editor will allow you to make “”epic skate videos”” with full-featured editing tools and visual effect.

The game will also feature a customizable skate lounge where you can hang out with your friend online, how this will work on the Nintendo’s online system remains to be seem but youll also be able to transition from single player to online seamlessly. The Nail the Trick moves return from Project 8 with even more combinations as well. Neversoft is developing all versions of the game and in addition to the Wii and Nintendo DS versions, it will also be released on the Xbox 360, PS2 and PS3.

Tony Hawks seem to be all about you, you make the game your own. No more generic punk skater, you play as yourself. We’ll have more on the game as soon as its available.
