There’s now 22 million amiibo out there in the wild

Only 56 of them are in America.
This article is more than 10 years old.

This year we’ve experienced both the highs and lows of the amiibo phenom. The excitement in picking up the latest wave, the frustrations of stock shortages (oh the frustrations), the rush of new stock we got in Australia and waking up early to pick up that gold Mario amiibo.

Nintendo’s must be pretty happy though, they’ve now  now sold 21 million of the little beggars. 10.6 of those were sold from April 1st onwards, the start of  Nintendo’s financial year.

Nintendo hasn’t announced how well the amiibo cards have done as of yet.
