The Sims 3 heads to consoles

It was only a matter of time, but EA is bringing the Sims 3 to… well, everything.

EA has announced that ports of The Sim 3 will be released later this year on the Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The Wii version will have an exclusive beach town mode, a multiplayer Life Moments game and adventure quests to take your Sim on. The DS version details so far are scarce, but EA promises controls using the stylus but also a full adventure mode. Well, we thought that was a given.

Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions have an online mode to share and download user-created content. All versions get new Karma Powers.

The PC version of The Sims 3 was released back in June last year on the PC and iPhone.
