EA has lifted the lid on the upcoming release of The Simpsons Game (working title), which thankfully will not be rushed out to meet the movie’s release date. The game features a hilarious, sprawling, and mind-busting storyline written by the show’s writers and will include every single voice actor from the show.

More Inside The game will allow players to take control of Homer, Marge, Bart and Lisa (what no Maggie?), using exciting, all new powers to save the world from a rising chaos. Youll be able to traverse all of Springfield as well as worlds beyond according to EA. Vanquish an amazing array of villains and fight your way through parodies of multiple popular games. “”NeverQuest,”” “”Medal of Homer,”” “”Bartman Begins,”” and “”Grand Theft Scratchy”” were games demoed to the press at the launch event.

Our goal in developing The Simpsons Game is to create the most original game ever, which is a lofty goal and only possible given the close collaboration with The Simpsons creative team, said Scot Amos, producer of the game. The game is currently under development for the Nintendo DS as well as the PS2, PS3, PSP and Xbox 360.
