Taiko No Tatsujin: Drum ‘N’ Fun rated in Australia, could mean local release

The Australian Classification board has today updated with a listing for Taiko No Tatsujin: Drum ‘N’ Fun for the Switch, it could mean not only is Australia getting the game – but also the rest of the world. Taiko No Tatsujin is usually released in the west as Taiko Drum Master.

The game will be in English in South East Asian markets with an English language option in August, hopefully with the classification and the news that it’ll be in English means its coming – but we’ll hold off celebrating until an official announcement.

This is a peer-reviewed classification, so a retail release is pretty much guaranteed at this point.

There have been very few exceptions over the years, such as Devillish Brain Training, which was classified *years* ago but only released just last year (in fact, the Aussie/European version has a copyright date of 2012, so the ROM hasn’t even been modified since!), and Dementium II, which was classified for the original DS but never released (I’m still grumpy about that), as well as Gauntlet for the original DS (Nintendo AU even had a competition with that as the prize, but it was never released. Hmm…).

My main worry about cancelling my Japanese version is if it will be exactly the same or not. I think other times they have changed songs and it had not been as good once westernised.

Just hope the Tatacon Drum Controller is released bundled with the game and separately. :/
