Nintendo has announced that Super Mario Run will launch on iOS devices on December 15th.

The game will initially be available to download for free with some content available but the entire game will cost $14.99 in both Australian and New Zealand. The American pricing is $9.99USD so we’re not getting stiffed. Worldwide pricing can be found on this official website.

The full unlock will grant access to unlimited access to each of the games’ three modes ‘in this release’. The main mode of the game has 24 stages across 6 worlds.

“The wait is almost over for a Super Mario game that can be played on mobile devices,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Developed under the direction of Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto, Super Mario Run brings a new take on the series’ beloved action-platforming gameplay to iPhone and iPad for the first time.”

Unlike Pokemon Go, Super Mario Run will launch in 151 countries and supports English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian and traditional Chinese language options.

Two new videos of the game were also released revealing some more modes in the game. One mode is called Kingdom Builder, if you’ve ever played The Simpsons Tapped out or similar it may be familiar. Over 1000 items will be available to decorate your kingdom.

There’s also another mode, Toad Rally which is the more competitive mode in the game where you battle in a race against another player, to collect as many stars at possible. You don’t play the same time it uses a ghost system.
