SteamWorld Dig coming to Wii U this spring

Image & Form announced via their website that SteamWorld Dig, everybody’s favourite mining and resource collecting game, is hitting the Wii U eShop this spring. Originally on the 3DS, SteamWorld dig as slowly infiltrated a whole load of consoles, now finding a new home on Nintendo’s home console. They even drew a little comic, with Rusty finding a Wii U underground. How handy!

We at Vooks love the game on the 3DS, and we’ll be looking forward to see just how perfect the Wii U is for SteamWorld Dig! If you want to know what you’re in for, read our review on the 3DS version of the game here.

I really liked the 3ds version, but unless it has some changes I dont think I’ll double dip. Also, I know it’s done to death in games but random generated levels would of been great too.

Love the 3DS version, but see no reason to pick it up again on the Wii U. A sequel or something maybe…

Hi Troy! 😀 Thanks for spreading the word about SWD on Wii U 🙂

Just a reminder that we’re actually aiming for a fall/autumn release this year, not spring next year 😀

Thanks again for your wonderful article, you guys are awesome for supporting us 🙂

These guys are awesome. I’ve seen Image and Form get involved at 2 other Nintendo sites I frequent. Love their hands-on, reaching-out approach. Keep it up guys 🙂
