"Don't worry about Mario!"

Shigeru Myamoto has spoken out in a new interview saying that he doesn’t think he’ll be working directly on the next Mario title.

Speaking to Gamekult, Miyamoto has said that “Creating a Mario of 3D World’s caliber demands enormous energy and there is little chance that I’d be able to take the time necessary to work on the next Mario”.

Instead Miyamoto has again expressed his desire to work on new, smaller scale titles. Miyamoto has previously said something very similar just under two years ago. These smaller titles don’t necessarily mean they will be downloadable titles.

Miyamoto also says that ‘it’s not impossible’ that he will take lead on a project again but will continue to keep an eye on teams but has full confidence in them.

The Miyamoto led Super Mario 3D World is out November 30th.
