Based on the 90s Arcade game of the same name, Jambo! Safari brings the savannah to your Wii and DS

In the 1990’s (you know that decade you’d rather forget?) SEGA released an arcade machine (remember those?) that was basically a giant jeep. The game puts you in the role of one safari park rangers as you drive in high speed challenges and rescue missions in free-roaming African Plains. New additions include the ability to fully customise your character as well as a choice of four different cars.

The aim of the game is to ensure the animals in the park are healthy and happy. You won’t be just playing rescuer though as the game will include wildlife photography, sightseeing and hot air balloon rides.
The game is heading to the Wii but will also be getting a Nintendo DS version. 

The Wii version contains a co-op mode as well as the single player adventure and there are also multiplayer mini games like Ostrich Racing. “Jambo! Safari was a much loved SEGA arcade game that has lent itself perfectly to the unique way of playing games on Nintendo platforms”, commented Gary Knight, European Marketing Director SEGA Europe. “Jambo! Safari makes learning fun, whilst children are playing the game and rescuing the wild animals they collect information cards, meaning they learn the characteristics of the animals and their natural habitat as they play”.

The game is due out later this year.
