Rumour: SEGA also keen for legacy titles on DSi Shop

by Josh MouldsMarch 24, 2009

Just this morning we reported on Nintendos rumored plans to release Gameboy and GBA Advance titles on the DSi Shop, akin to the Wiis Virtual Console service. Now we are hearing that SEGA are pushing to have games from their handheld the less successful Game Gear available for download as well. Our allies at GoNintendo have received unconfirmed reports from Club Nintendo’s weekend DSi event attendees that SEGA are looking into giving classic titles a new lease of life on the DSi. The handheld was never successful in Australia, but had a decent library of titles including Shining Force: Final Conflict, Phantasy Star Gaiden, and of course, a heap of Sonic the Hedgehog titles.
