Retail release of Final Fantasy X/X-2 on Switch delayed in Australia

Earlier this month, Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster for Switch would be releasing on the 16th of April. Physical buyers in Australia have to wait a little bit longer.

Square Enix has announced today that the physical release of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD on the Nintendo Switch has been delayed in Australia, with retailers now poised to start selling the game from the 19th of April¬†‚ÄĒ a three day delay.

No reason has been given for the delay, with the official Final Fantasy Twitter account stating that it’s due to “circumstances outside of [their] control”. They did, however, clarify that the digital release of the game will still be available from the 16th.
