Capcom has announced the release date for Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 on the Switch. The combo pack will be out worldwide on November 28th, except for Japan who gets it on November 30th. Capcom has also confirmed that the games will take advantage of the Switch’s motion controls and HD rumble.

You’ll be able to play the game just like Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition if you please. This includes using motion to aim, swinging knife attacks and flicking up to reload. If you prefer to play with buttons – that’s there too. In Revelations 2 the local co-op mode can also be played with a single Joy-Con each.

Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 on Switch features both games with all the episodes and DLC included. The first game will be on the cartridge with the second a digital download. Both games will be able to digitally download as well.

Capcom has also released two new screenshots of the Switch version in action;

    Unless both games are provided in physical format in at least some part of the world, then I won’t be supporting this crap. I would have begrudingly accepted a physical release containing just the second game on cartridge (considering that I already own the first game on Wii U and 3DS) with and the first game as a bonus download, but not in reverse. Honestly, the way that Capcom are handling this is beyond stupid. It’s being released at s budget price in the U.S. as well which makes it all the more baffling. I’d happily pay an extra $10-$20 for the second game on cartridge (or whatever it takes. I just want both on cartridge). They could have issued a more expensive limited release with both games on cartridge (or go the Bayonetta double pack route). Publishers seem all too happy to charge in excess of $100 for limited editions with a heap of worthless trinkets, but I’d much rather put that money towards more in-game content.

    I might be tempted to download the second game, but only if it’s heavily discounted. But the handling of this has been so contemptible and demoralising that I don’t wish to support this release in any shape or form.
