Capcom has put demos for both Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 up on the eShop. The good news is both of the demos will transfer the progress from the demos to the full game so you can get a head start. There are also costumes you will get in both games for playing the demos.

There’s also a pre-launch discount available if you already own Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0 or Resident Evil 4. You’ll get 33% off the price of each game bringing them down to $27.76AU down from $39.99AU.

Check out the store listings here for Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 to get the demo downloaded onto your Switch.

They could have made a premium triple pack containing all three games on a 64GB cartridge, likewise with the Origins collection, and even the Revelations duo. If they’re worried about surplus stock, they could just produce them in limited retail quantities so that they would be guaranteed to sell out (considering how big the franchise is, one would think that it would easily).

While I would love to have collected the Resident Evil games on Switch as I have missed out on most of them over the years, Capcom are doing a great job of putting me off completely. If Capcom can release the likes of Dragon’s Dogma and Okami (both of which weren’t exactly setting the retail charts on fire) on 16GB carts at a *budget* price proposition, then they could sure as hell release these Resident Evil games on 32GB cards for US$60 (or perhaps a little higher if they were to release them collectively on 64GB cartridges).
