Report: Nintendo pitched NX to third parties at E3 2015
While Nintendo might not have been officially talking about NX at E3 this year, they seemed to be talking about NX just a little at E3 this year.
According to a report by business magazine Fortune, Nintendo was said to be pitching the NX to third parties during E3. Not only that but many of the reactions to the console were said to be positive. This of course shouldn’t surprise anyone, similar buzz surrounded the Wii U before its launch – remember EA’s unprecedented relationship with Nintendo?
It has also been revealed in the same report from Fortune that Shigeru Miyamoto told the magazine he was stepping back the NX in order to focus on games. “I’ve pulled myself back out of some of the hardware section and I’m really focused on some of the software that I’m involved in — for example, the new Star Fox game. Of course I am observing and looking at the hardware, but I am not actively participating and making decisions.” he told the magazine.
Expect to see something more on NX next year, its when Nintendo will ‘talk’ about the console.

this is good news, regardless of what the third parties do, if Nintendo are aiming for a 2017 release, that means the third parties now have a 2 year+ lead of info and time, so no reason not to support the machine day 1
I’m hoping for a 2017 release too, so it gives the Wii U a little more time and also give Ninty more time to develop PROPER LAUNCH GAMES, stuff like a rehashed Mario Wii game ain’t going to cut it. While I do dream of 3rd parties joining the fray once more, I’m a little more cautious this time around, the Wii U was supposed to get some xbox360/ps3 ports like Aliens etc and it fell away too quickly…still, the NX should get a few more xbone/ps4 ports, at the very least COD and Assassins’ Creed will be back…
