Reminder: Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection shutdown kills Pokémon DS and Wii titles

We know the end of nigh for Nintendo DS and Wii titles with online features, its happening in just 5 days on the 20th and it will be very sad. Mario Kart, Smash Bros and more all gone.

However it’s also worth to remind people that the Pokemon games are going offline too. The Pokemon titles last generation had some of the most advanced online features we’ve ever seen in handheld games and since the games are still used so heavily in tournaments and even just in casual play this is a huge loss.

We asked the awesome Joe at Serebii.net if we could borrow this to illustrate just what will be lost when the shut down is over. That’s a lot of only modes and for Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 they’ve had a really short life.
