Reggie: Hardcore Gamers are Insatiable

by Daniel VuckovicOctober 8, 2008

Nintendo E3s sucked for us ‘core gamers’ as Nintendo calls us. They know it too; and that’s why last week Nintendo held another Media Summit in San Francisco – in an attempt to woo us with games like Punch-Out!!, Fire Emblem DS and the sequel to Sin and Punishment. But in a new interview, Reggie Fils-Aime has come out and said no matter what they do, it’s not enough. We’re just “”insatiable””. More inside “”The gaming enthusiast that buys a tremendous amount of games is truly insatiable,”” says Reggie. “”As an example, in March, we launched Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In April, we launched Mario Kart. In later April, we launched Wii Fit. Then, in July, at E3, they say, ‘where are the games?’ They say they want the next Mario game. Super Mario Galaxy isn’t even a year old yet.””

Is Reggie right? Are we too hungry for games or do we just want something to play? Sure we can’t have a new Zelda and Mario all the time, but at least releasing a game at all might be good.
