Queen receives gold-plated Wii from THQ
In promoting their new BIG Family Games mini-game fest for Wii, THQ have sent Elizabeth the 2nd a Wii plated with real gold
The one-of-a-kind Wii was delivered to Buckingham palace today for the Queen and the rest of the Royal family to use. THQ’s product manager Danielle Robinson stated that “BIG Family Games is the ultimate Wii game to get all family members, from grandparents to young children, playing together. The Royal Family is arguably the most important family in the country so we felt that they had to have a copy of the new game.”

BIG Family Games is a sequel to THQ’s party game compilation ‘BIG Beach Sports’, and includes a range of motion-controlled games such as ladder golf, lawn darts, bocce and horseshoes.
One can only imagine the Royal family pretending to act like a normal family playing video games: flailing about the living room, getting emotional after losing, and fighting over the favourite control (hint: it’s the one that’s covered in gold).
