Pokémon Sun and Moon have biggest UK launch for Nintendo ever
The United Kingdom and the rest of Europe only got Pokémon Sun and Moon last week for some stupid reason. However it probably won’t matter to Nintendo because the game has had the biggest launch of any Nintendo software title in the UK – ever.
While the games didn’t top the sales charts, FIFA 17 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare both were above with Sun and Moon coming in third and forth, but if you were to combine the sales of the two games, it would have blown them away.
This puts the launch of Sun and Moon above everything on either the Wii or DS, even when they were at the height of their popularity and with their massive install base.
With the combination of Pokemon Go and Pokemon’s 20th Anniversary it’s been a huge year for the franchise and it looks like it might continue a little longer.
