Oh Canada! Wii claims four highest-selling games of 2008
The top ten chart for the entirety of 2008 video game sales in Canada is out, and Nintendo-only Mario Kart Wii has taken the top spot, followed directly by Wii Fit, Wii Play, and Super Smash Bros:Brawl. The four games beat out big competition from powerhouse titles Grand Theft Auto 4, Call of Duty: World at War and Gears of War 2. Last year was a massive year in video game sales for our maple syrup-eating, moose-hunting friends, who spent $2.1 billion on games- thats half a billion dollars more than what was spent in 2007.
